Come Tackle Our Trophy Northern Pike

The deep fertile waters of Northern Saskatchewan support huge populations of fatty fish, like ciscoes, whitefish and smelt. This is the reason our lake trout are so big and fat! The same can be said for our northern pike who stalk these big schools of fish all season long. Feasting on these pelagic course fish produces some of the largest and fattest northern pike in North America!

Northern Pike: THE KING of the Freshwater Sportsfish

Say what you will about sturgeon or musky, as far as we are concerned the northern pike is the king of the freshwater sportsfish. Stalking their prey along the edges of cabbage weed beds, waiting in the crevices of rock piles jutting out into deeper water or staying at the periphery of large schools of pelagic fish darting in to grab an unsuspecting cisco. You have to appreciate the stealth and veracity of the water wolf. Your chance at landing a trophy sized 40″+ fish are good.
