Daily fly-outs

We are happy to announce the addition of three new daily fly-out lakes for those wanting to explore new and untouched waters. Those with a greater sense for adventure will enjoy the float plane ride to a private lake, breathtaking scenery and of course some extraordinary fishing! All of our lakes and outfitted with new Lund boats and Yamaha 4-stroke outboards.

Milton Lake Lodge has a private float plane on site every day. This allows for constant exploring of new and untouched areas. We have exclusive use of seven lakes and four rivers, many of which have not been fished yet.

Walker Lake and Misekumaw Lake are also used as an outpost and mini-lodge. Daily fly-outs are available to these lakes only when there are no others on those bodies of water.

McHarg Lake

McHarg Lake is a virgin lake that has never been explored. Or so it seemed. Upon the initial exploration of the lake we found an ancient petroglyph of a caribou. We also found an inukshuk. Although we may have been the first white people to explore this lake it was apparent that the Dene hunters had been here at some time in the lake's history.

McHarg Lake boasts many beautiful waterfalls. There is an easy hike that takes you along all of these waterfalls for those interested in photography or simply exploring the beauty that this landscape has to offer.

There is a majestic stretch of the Porcupine River that pours into McHarg Lake. This river has many rapids and pools that make it ideal for fishing grayling. Northern pike and whitefish were also caught on the initial exploration trip. Lake trout and walleye? We will have to keep you posted on these two.

Walker Lake

This lake has seen less than 100 anglers and boasts trophy northern pike and lake trout. Deep holes accommodate large lakers while monster pike find haven in gigantic cabbage beds and the outflowing Porcupine River. Lund SSVs with flat bottoms, fish finders and 4-stroke outboards are among some of the items that will keep you comfortable here.

There is a beautiful cabin at Walker Lake that is finished in all-natural pine. This cozy cabin has all of the amenities of modern living and makes for an ideal two-day fly-out for those wanting to enjoy an overnight stay.

Misekumaw Lake

This lake has seen less than 100 anglers!

Misekumaw Lake is our biggest body of water spanning over 15 miles. This lake has many sand beaches and eskers, islands and bays and all of the great things that say “home” to trophy lake trout and northern pike. Lund SSVs with flat bottoms, fish finders and 4-stroke outboards are among the items that will make your visit very comfortable.

Porcupine River

We recently discovered an untouched stretch of white water that spans five miles of the Porcupine River! This float plane accessible section of the Porcupine River is ideal for fly fisherman and those wanting to spend a day casting for grayling.
